OK, This Thing Better Have GPS
Photographer Roy Zetisky thought he had seen it all when he came upon this unlikely duo on a recent trip to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. No, these lions have not evolved to drive cars–these fully-grown females were just chilling out in the shade of an old prop vehicle.
“You’re always trying to take that magic photo,” Roy says, “but really it’s the animals who do the magic.” But this magic moment may have lasted a while, as female lions relax and sleep for 15-18 hours per day, while male lions enjoy 18-20 hours per day of downtime.
